We need to work hard and be persistent, isn’t that what we’ve all been taught? That achieving gains and goals always requires some sort of effort and consistency? Not all gains require hustling, though. On the contrary, sometimes it is about letting go – of old ways of being, beliefs or mechanisms that do not serve us anymore and ‘shoulds’ that we have inherited or internalized – to make space for better things. Offloading burdens that are not aligned with who we are allows us to strengthen our voice and expand in the right direction so we can grow more into our rightful space.
Letting go is easier said than done. Clutching onto old ways of doing things, even if they are malfunctional, feels safer than letting go of them and succumbing to the unknown. Certainty of the outcome, even if it is negative and hindering us, is less painful than allowing ourselves to face unchartered territory. The prospect of feelings, experiences and ways of being that have yet to materialize and take form feels threatening to a lot of us, perhaps due to past experiences, but in reality anything is possible. All it takes is letting go and having faith that the universe has got your back, allowing yourself to sit with the fear of uncertainty to go beyond the void it creates.
If you KNOW that it’s time for change but you cannot get yourself to let go of what does not serve you anymore or the void of uncertainty feels like a looming threat to you, Wholistik is a safe and gentle space that helps facilitate this necessary leg of your healing journey; book your free 30 minute discovery session to help propel yourself forward towards the future that you desire for yourself.
