Bellapierre Mineral Foundation

I am always obsessed with finding the best possible match when it comes to foundation – I absolutely hate it when a sales lady asks me if I’m looking for a shade lighter or darker than my skin color! And this happens to me more often than it should in Dubai! Bellapierre Mineral Foundation was the first foundation that perfectly matched my skin (my shade is Cinnamon). However, I realized my same shade in the compact version of this is not a great match so I just stick to the loose formula.

I discovered this Australian-based mineral makeup brand when I first moved to Dubai 3 years ago. The Mineral Foundation is made of only 4 ingredients, all natural: Mica, Zinc Oxides, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide. It does not break me out and gives a natural finish of skin but better – I always get compliments on how good ‘my skin’ looks when I’m wearing it. The packaging is ideal for a loose powder; it has a sifter that can be twisted to open or close so it is quite travel friendly. However, the only complaint I have is I don’t feel it prevents the oillies from appearing quickly so I try avoiding using it for all-day wear during summer in Dubai.

I purchased the Powder Dome Brush from Bellapierre to use it with this foundation, but found I much prefer using the Bobbi Bown Face Brush, a soft and fluffy kabuki brush to buff the powder into my skin.
