Heaven Summer Skin Glow kit review

I was beyond delighted when I was sent the Heaven Skincare Summer Skin Glow kit for review. I am already a huge fan of the brand and I was certain that I was not going to be disappointed. The brand is all-natural, organic, holistic and well-loved by celebrities all over the world.

My skin and I were going through rough times the last couple of months. I was busy looking for an apartment and moving, so I was in dire need for some ‘miracle products’ to make me look less exhausted and more revived. Long story short, we are finally settled in our new apartment, and my skin feels like it went through a transformation – new house, new face!

New Edition Cleansing Cream

Having combination to oily skin, I am usually not partial to milky cleansers as I always feel they tend to leave my skin feeling ‘heavy’ and not very well cleansed. In my mind, they just serve to add moisture without removing debris from the pores first…I am pleased to report that the New Edition Cleansing Cream performs like magic on my skin. It ever so gently cleanses any makeup residues I might still have on my face and manages to leave my skin feeling LIGHT and as soft as my 8-month old’s bum. No joke, no exaggeration.

Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel

I was initially confused as to what the Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel does exactly. It is meant to be used after cleansing and before moisturizing, but is too much of a gel to be considered a toner. I add a couple of pumps to a cotton pad and gently wipe my face, and it leaves my skin feeling extremely soft, hydrated and…matte! It also works GREAT as a makeup primer as it provides a silky-smooth base. For that I just pat 1 pump of the gel on my face using my fingers.

Youthful Moisturizer

Honestly, this is not the best-smelling of the lot, but it certainly performs quite well. For one, it absorbs into my skin like a dream and does not feel like an added layer – this alone makes it a winner in my books because it means I can go ahead and make it a part of my morning routine, applying it before sunscreen and makeup and not having to worry about it feeling heavy or causing my makeup to slide. This moisturizer is also claimed to treat pigmentation and I really feel it has already made a difference in my skin, leaving it looking brighter and brighter each day.

Bee Polish

Having had previous not-so-pleasant reactions to chemical exfoliants, I had my reservations to try the Bee Polish, even though it is claimed to be suitable for use on sensitive skin. After clearing a patch-test, I still panicked after applying it for the first time. I felt my face tingling and going red so I barely left it on for a minute before rinsing it off – I was mentally preparing myself for the hives-like reaction that I usually get and a week of cortisone cream and no makeup. You can imagine my surprise and disbelief when I felt HOW SOFT my face was after I dried it off, and when none of my predictions materialized. Just to be on the safe side, I skipped using the Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel after and applied a heavy dose of the Youthful Moisturizer. Since that first time, I feel my skin has built tolerance for the Bee Polish; it takes longer for me to feel ‘the tingles’ and I can keep it on for longer and use it more often. The results, however, are still magical every single time I use it.

SOS kit

This kit is perfect to throw in an overnight bag. It includes samples of 5 Heaven Skincare products: the Hydro Cleansing Milk, Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel, Bee Polish, Overnight Success Oxygen Cream and WillowBee Mask and Cleanse. This is probably my lengthiest review up till now and justifiably so. The Heaven Summer Skin Glow kit products leave my skin feeling cleansed, softer than a baby’s bum and radiant. They feel so light and airy on my face and I feel like they ever so gently peel off a layer of unevenness and reveal new and brighter skin…every single day. I am going to continue using these and will definitely be incorporating more Heaven Skincare products in my daily routine.
