Aleph Beauty review and swatches

Aleph Beauty is a clean, minimalist and sustainable brand, and although I had been stalking it on Instagram since it was founded, I did not initially feel the urgency to order from it. All Aleph Beauty products are cream-based, which I usually try to avoid because they typically do not last on my combination to oily skin, especially that I live in a mostly humid environment.

Prior to purchasing my Aleph Beauty products, I was using the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation and Hynt Beauty Duet Concealer and I thought I had my base products figured out. But the Duet Concealer was creasing on me, and unless I wanted to use a ton of product, the Kjaer Weis Foundation alone does not cover all my under-eye darkness. So I decided to take the plunge and try the Aleph Beauty Concealer/Foundation in 3.0 while adding the Cheek/Lip Tint in Grounded to justify the steep shipping cost to Dubai. After a hiccup with tracking my package and a bit of delay (but a whole lot of great customer service by Emma, the brand founder) I received my goodies.

Aleph Beauty Concealer/Foundation Review

When buying a concealer/foundation, a sample of choice is included with the full-sized product chosen, to help with shade selection and ensure a color match. I was immediately swept away with how well the Concealer/Foundation covers my dark circles with the tiniest amount of product, and also how well it lasts after setting it, with no creasing whatsover! It is definitely a winner in my books, and would be Holy Grail material if I had the right shade. According to the brand, the product shade is self-adjusting and would match a variety of skin tones. The 3.0 works great as an under-eye concealer, but is a tad bit too light for the rest of my face. Unfortunately, 4.0 (my sample) is noticeably darker, so I am assuming a 3.5 would work great on my skin, especially in summer. Hopefully, I will be able to get away with wearing 3.0 on all my face in winter.

Aleph Beauty Cheek/Lip Tint Review

The Cheek/Lip Tint in Grounded shows up a lot lighter than expected on my lips, but I still really like the color. It does not have comparable longevity to the Concealer/Foundation but it lasts just as long as a normal lipstick would. I tried using it on my cheeks – as expected, it does not last. That’s only me though, I can never have a cream blush last on my skin, even when I set it.

Aleph Beauty have recently launched their newest product, the Serum/Primer which I am dying to try! And fingers crossed they would develop a Concealer/Foundation in 3.5 soon!
